Great piece.

As a nearly adopter, I typically consume beta and 1.0 products including the echo. Before 2.0 arrived, I had already unplugged all my Amazon devices losing trust in the company by realizing the devices listening more than I benefited. I’m constantly looking for a convenient platform I can trust. Not finding that platform that isn’t monetizing my behaviors, I scatter consumption. Clearly I trade convenience for privacy every day.

Curious if the potential victor in this race is one that makes its listening patterns and monetization transparent; Can transparency disrupt the economic giants of today?
